ABOUT LYNETTE MOODLEY
I am a Social Worker with over 35 years of experience in counselling, clinical supervision, leadership development and wellness training. I am a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
My philosophy is “servant leadership: serving with influence” and is based on the principle that healthy wholistic connections shape and transform who we are, which in turn restores authentic purpose and meaning to life. The individual is a whole being made up of mental, emotional, physical, social and spiritual parts. When all parts are in harmony we experience REST!
Relationships are crucial for our health and well-being. They serve as a great health benefit and can also bring challenges. I am passionate about helping others to maximise relational benefits and reduce relational risks to health. The focus could be on a relationship with yourself, others, community, society or a power greater than yourself.

Counselling
I bring compassion to “doing the hard work in a soft way”. My vision is to help make changes through practical ways to restore healthy functioning and healthy living. Areas of interest include counselling for addictions, relational matters, trauma and mental health. I provide psychological first aid following any critical incident both personal and work-related. I have substantial experience working with medical, nursing and allied health staff.
Organisational Consultation
The success of professional groups within organisations is measured by how well staff feel respected and valued. During more than 20 years working in a government organisation, I was involved in shaping health and well-being of staff through initiatives at the front line and management levels. A value-driven approach to staff retention serves to connect, transform and restore staff to the business and operational strategy.
Clinical Supervision
I aim to provide a safe, confidential and reflective space to explore and refine one’s professional and personal function in the service of those under our care. This service is provided individually or in groups. I am committed to “care for the carer”. My passion is to enhance the well-being of clinicians in their self-care and to assist them in providing the best quality service to clients.
Leadership Mentoring
Leadership is about influence. My role is to encourage growth while nurturing and up-skilling the mentee. This will empower a person to perform better in their role and progress in their career path. Whether you’re leading a small group or a large organisation, as a volunteer or being paid, leadership mentoring is a gift you can give to yourself and others. I bring over 30 years of leadership experience and I hope to pass this on through a “servant leadership framework”.
Our family’s first contact with Lynette was when she successfully helped my daughter adapt from university life to life as a young doctor. We lost our daughter in tragic circumstances recently and all of us, including my daughter’s partner, have leaned heavily on Lynette for support. She has been a massive help in navigating our paths forward.
For me personally, she cared for and gifted me with knowledge and understanding of my loss and grief. This has empowered me to negotiate life.
Lynette is compassionate and knowledgeable. She listens. She tells you what you need to hear not necessarily what you want to hear. I will be forever grateful. I could not recommend her more highly.
Male, 55 yearsMy experience with Lynette has been like no other. She provides a patient and unconditionally positive atmosphere. It was everything I needed and more! Lynette allowed me to connect my mind and heart, bringing them together to become whole with myself. Helping me to understand myself on a greater level. I will always be beyond grateful for her!
Female, 24 yearsLynette has assisted me to navigate complex disharmony that recently and unexpectedly arose between me and my adult child. Lynette gave me the skills to set some strong boundaries, something I have been unable to do in the past. I have no hesitation in recommending Lynette to you. She is always professional, non-judgemental, and realistic. Lynette is truly a wise woman.
Female, 68 yearsAs a person who never talks about how I feel, Lynette has helped me through one of the most traumatic experiences anyone will ever encounter and helped me bring back the person I truly am.

Clinical Supervision Review
As both individuals and a team, we have gained so much knowledge from Lynette. She is constantly challenging our perceptions and ideas of things, to push us more in our practice and become better equipped to support the people and families we work with. Our group supervision is a chance to bond as a team and comment and discuss common interests and issues that may arise. Thanks for all you have done for us, Lynette.
